The C.R.I. (Conference of Religious India), Nashik Unit, organized a meaningful Advent Recollection for all the Religious Men and Women working in the Diocese of Nashik on Saturday, December 07, 2024, at Dnyanamata, Sangamner. The event served as a spiritual preparation for the Advent Season, fostering reflection and renewal among the participants.
Bishop Barthol Barretto, Main Speaker of the day, delivered an inspiring message rooted in the themes of Synodality and the upcoming Ordinary Jubilee Year 2025. With clarity and passion, he emphasized the Church’s mission to focus on the marginalized: the poor, the sick, the aged, the distressed, the dejected, the disadvantaged and those on the peripheries of our society. His reflections called for hope, renewal, and a deeper commitment to the Church’s mission.
Bishop Barthol highlighted the importance of a synodal Church, where all the members walk together in unity. He urged the Religious men and women to accelerate their understanding and implementation of Synodality, reminding them of their vital role as collaborators in the Church’s mission. His words resonated deeply, encouraging all those present to renew their dedication to serving others, especially those in need.
The recollection also included a special time for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, providing the participants with an opportunity to prepare themselves for Christmas. This was followed by the Eucharistic celebration led by Bishop Barthol, which brought peace and spiritual nourishment to all.
The day concluded with a shared lunch, fostering fellowship and joy among the attendees. The participants left with hearts full of hope and a renewed commitment to their vocation, ready to embrace the Advent Season with a spirit of unity and service.
The Advent Recollection was a profound reminder of the call to walk together as a synodal Church, bringing the light of Christ to the world, especially to those most in need. It set a tone of spiritual renewal and mission, encouraging everyone to journey towards the celebration of the Ordinary Jubilee Year 2025 with faith, hope, and love.
